(Photo: EMILIO VASQUEZ El Universal)In two operations against organized crime, five gunmen were killed, one was identified as the alleged leader of the square in the town of Cerralvo, in Nuevo Leon.
Staff of the Seventh Military Zone reported that at 10:15 a group of soldiers fought against armed men on the road to Dam Nogalitos the rural municipality of Cerralvo, killing three people.
According to the report, one of those killed in the shootout is the head of this square, which was only identified by his nickname of El Pato.
The alleged Zetas were manning a van reported as stolen, and seeing the military approaching them they fired shots. But, the action was repelled by the military when they returned fire.
Resulting from this confrontation the military was able to confiscate two rifles: R-15 and an AK-47, a square 9 mm pistol and several cartridges.
Expert Services personnel attended the scene for evidence gathering and removal of the bodies.
In other action against organized crime, state police detectives “busted” a safe house in the town of Juarez. According to initial reports, two suspected kidnappers were killed and nine arrested.
The operation was due to an anonymous tip which warned of armed men in the colony Plains of San Juan.

The incident occurred around 9:00 am on Hidalgo Street at its junction with Mier y Noriega and Zaragoza in the center of town.
The acting mayor of Guadalupe Rodriguez Carlos Padilla said his administration will support those affected by the explosion of the grenade attack by suspected members of organized crime.
Troops of the State Investigation Agency (IEA), the local Police and Civil Protection of the State went to the site of the attack and according to preliminary investigations, the device was thrown at a home located at the intersection of Hidalgo and Zaragoza about 100 meters from City Hall
