The Attorney General’s Office State of Mexico announced the arrest of Oscar Garrido Vargas “El Chaparro,” 32-year-old member of the Familia Michoacana and who was included in the list of “most wanted”.
Reliance reported that in a joint operation with the State Security Agency (ASE), Vargas managed Garrido’s arrest near the town of Huehuetoca, pursuant to a court for the crimes of kidnapping, extortion and organized crime.
The detainee was identified by the victim as part of the criminal organization and was even mentioned as one of the men who, after the kidnapping, received a second payment of money from the victim’s family not to return anyone to act in their Instead, as part of an extortion.
Notably, in November 2010 were arrested Ricardo Silva and Ivan Mendiola Martinez Serna, as part of the cell that had participated in the kidnapping and led to the identification and arrest of Vargas Garrido.
With their arrest and 13 are likely responsible for most-wanted list, which are secured by state authorities so far in 2011.
