At least eight people were killed in five separate incidents in Juárez between midnight Saturday and early Sunday, according to police reports.
On Sunday morning, two brothers were shot and killed at a Juárez south home, according to Chihuahua state police in Juárez. Enrique Vaquera Saucedo 30 died at the scene. His brother, José de Jesús Vaquera, 33, was pronounced dead at a local hospital, authorities said.
Police recovered 52 bullet casings from an AK-47 and a 9 mm was found at 3206 Sol De La Aldea St. in the Praderas del Sol neighborhood. Authorities also seized a black 1998 Jeep Cherokee from the scene.
Also on Sunday, a couple, Ángel Moreno Lucas, 50, and María Esther Vásquez, 40, was found shot to death inside a home in the 900 block of Gerardo Medina and Efraín González Luna streets in the Manuel Gómez Morín neighborhood, police said.
On Saturday night, Jesús Elías Morales, in his mid 40s was found dead inside El Arrullo nightclub at Tecnológico and Manuel J. Clouthier Avenue, state police said. Police retrieved 6 bullets casings from an AK-48 and a 9 mm weapon.
A 53-year-old man, Valente Villalobos Chico, was stabbed to death also on Saturday inside a home located at 9212 block of Humberto Escobar and Unidos para Progresar streets, Solidaridad neighborhood, police said.
