Arapahoe County Sheriff, Patrick J. Sullivan Jr; arrested for drug peddling!

Arapahoe County Sheriff, Patrick J. Sullivan Jr

Arapahoe County Sheriff, Patrick J. Sullivan Jr arrested for Narcotics for sale!

Retired Arapahoe County Sheriff, Patrick J. Sullivan Jr., is being held at the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility for unlawful distribution, manufacturing and dispensing of a controlled substance.

The Colorado acility was named after Sullivan when he retired back in 2002 after serving 40 years as a law enforcement official.

The 68-year-old former cop was arrested on Tuesday after he was caught with a hidden video camera handing over what appeared to be methamphetamine to an adult male in the bedroom of an Aurora residence, according to an arrest affidavit.

Sullivan now finds himself on thin ice as he is being accused of trading meth for sexual favors.

Two adult males, whose names aren’t being disclosed, claim they had participated in sexual activities with the retired sheriff in exchange to get high.

The investigation that led to Sullivan’s arrest stems from an incident in September where a man dialed 911.

The caller expressed concern over an “old guy” getting his roommates “back into drugs.”

The caller had confronted Sullivan and demanded he leave the property. Sullivan’s response, they report: “if you want the police, I am the police.”

From there, Sullivan displayed his badge and left with the callers three roommates.

Sullivan attempted to get off the hook shortly after. The ex-“sheriff of the year” called the dispatcher hours after the dialer called 911 and claimed he was part of “a meth drug task force” and was helping recovering addicts sober up.

The probe conducted by the Drug Task Force and Sheriff’s Office investigators had the two informants place several phone calls and exchange multiple text messages with Sullivan about scoring what the DEA website calls “stove top” — and even this close to Thanksgiving, those in the sting weren’t talking abouto turkey stuffing.

An Arapahoe County judge doubled Sullivan’s bond to half a million dollars on Wednesday and ordered Sullivan not to attempt to make contact with anyone involved in the case.

Sullivan’s attorney objected to the increase since as of yet no charges have been filed.

“The allegations of criminal behavior involving Pat Sullivan are extraordinarily disturbing,” says Grayson Robinson, the current Arapahoe County Sheriff, to the ABC affiliate in Denver.

“While the arrest of the former sheriff is very troubling, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office continues to ensure that those who are responsible for criminal behavior and the victimization of our community will be held accountable by the criminal justice system. No one, and particularly a current or a former peace officer, is above the law. The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office has always demonstrated a solid commitment to our community and to public safety. This is a very sad time for the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and our community,” Robinson adds.

U.S. the debate over weapons heats up!

Not all states have a limit!

Not all states have a limit!

In most American states there is no limit to the number of guns a person can buy in a month, only states like Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia have approved a law that only a gun can be bought a month for every citizen, as if applied nationally would greatly reduce deaths by gunshot, in both the U.S. and Mexico, where thousands of weapons arrive acquired by drug traffickers.

This was explained to Excelsior Jonathan Lowy, director of the Legal Action Center to Stop Brady Gun Violence, who said that this policy strategy directly hit the Mexican drug cartels to buy dozens of guns to one month through or two “buyers ant” in states like Texas, Arizona and New Mexico.

He insisted that “are just a few U.S. states that have approved American law to buy ‘one gun per month per citizen’: Maryland, Virginia, California and New Jersey, but the problem is that unless you do federal level, the measure is not effective, “he said.

The Virginia case is interesting because that state a decade ago was a major source of arms supply to dealers, the solution implemented was to establish the law that allows only one gun purchase per month per citizen.

“Studies show that as of this legislation, the flow of guns from Virginia to other states is significantly reduced, there is concrete evidence that this law does stop arms trafficking in the region,” said Brady Center attorney.

Another situation that must change to reduce gun shooting death of both the American Union, where every year die on average 30 000 people a year from this cause, as in Mexico, is to prohibit the sale of military style weapons.

“There should be a ban on the purchase of military weapons, including assault weapons, assault rifles 50 caliber high capacity storage of ammunition, now anyone can buy legally. These are weapons that have nothing to do in the hands of civilians, “Lowy said emphatically.

A third element that should be modified to impose criminal background checks on all gun sales, not only in the 56,000 licensed stores, but also the hundreds of shows of weapons that are made each year.

Many of the booths in the show of weapons do criminal background checks for gun buyers and even put signs that say “here is no background check.”

The administration of President Barack Obama, who has three years in power, “has been a great disappointment in the regulation of arms purchases,” said Lowy, who explained that although it has taken measures such as requiring gun stores four southern EU states report multiple sales of rifles, has not acted even more urgent issues.

He insisted that the U.S. president has not submitted to Congress a proposal to ban the sale of military weapons, reduce the number of weapons you can buy a month or impose criminal background checks nationwide

More bodies found-Nuevo Laredo’s Christopher Columbus monument

Banner left Colonia Madero

Banner left Colonia Madero

Another body appeared in Nuevo Laredo’s Christopher Columbus monument early Tuesday morning, along with a long rambling placard aimed at a former associate of Los Zetas in that border city.

The monument, located in the upscale Colonia Madero, has been the scene in recent weeks of gruesome exhibitions of the remains of two bloggers accused by Los Zetas of supplying information to federal authorities and messages threatening Nuevo Laredo’s anti-organized crime bloggers.

However, Tuesday’s execution victim, a male described as between 50 and 60 years old is believed to be a relative of Antoñio Peña, alias “El Amenaza”, “EL Tony” or “Norteño12”, a member of a well known Nuevo Laredo family with a history of involvement in drug trafficking.

The unsigned message, most likely authored by Los Zetas, accuses Antonio Peña of stealing $5 million and of ordering the murder of Rodolfo Torre Cantu, the PRI candidate for Governor of Tamaulipas who was assassinated in 2010 while campaigning for office.

Antoñio Peña is alleged to be a money launderer, weapons procurer and a source of political and economic connections for Los Zetas.

According to to a local Laredo newspaper, the murder victim and other members of the family, including several women, were abducted last week. None of the missing family members have reappeared.

The message on the placard:

Don’t be saying this was a kidnapping fucking old pitarron (informer, whistleblower?) its the $5 million we gave you, you know what for, and you did not meet your obligations on the contrary you left the country. Why play the fool it was you Don Toño (Tony)Peña who ordered Rodolfo Torres killed because he was going against the interests of the businesses that Osiel Cardenas and Tomas Yarrington are partners in. (Osiel Cardenas is the previous head of the Gulf cartel now incarcerated in the U.S., Tomas Yarrington is a former Tamaulipas Governor with alleged ties to organized crime). Whatever, you killed him for nothing because his brother is there and still screwing with them. Fucking old hypocrite that’s preaching the word of God you swallow saints and shit devils your still a money laundering murderer living in the U.S., nice and peaceful well isn’t it there that they fight drug trafficking and money laundering because they have the best money launderers?

Donis Ruiz was detained because he was in the United States illegally, the AG’s office said.

The Mexican government provided documentation to U.S. authorities showing that Donis Ruiz had a prior criminal record and an immigration judge ordered him deported.

He was taken into custody by Mexican federal agents, the AG’s office said.  Donis Ruiz, who was identified as a member of the Los Flacos cell of Los Zetas, has a long record of involvement in kidnappings.
