The State Preventive Police (PEP), arrested two men, allegedly linked to the Sinaloa Cartel, who were in possession of three firearms, rounds of ammunition of different calibers and nine kilos of marijuana.
The State Secretariat of Public Security (SSPE) reported that among the three, Jose Manuel Vazquez Palomino, a 42-year-old Carlos Enrique Sibaja Moon, 39, they carried a submachine gun with 24 rounds of ammunition.
Reliance said in a statement that the arrest happened on the Boulevard Diaz Ordaz, where he marked preventive state police stopped a Nissan Altima, white, which was manned by two people.
He said that during a visual inspection, preventive state realized in the interior of the vehicle was a gun 9 mm, which was loaded with seven rounds of ammunition.
Also inside the vehicle more firearms were found, a 9 mm submachine gun with 24 rounds in the magazine.
Also in the back seat he found a package containing dry grass that seems to be marijuana, which was approximately in weight nine kilos 770 grams, which equals 19,540 doses.
Reliance said Jose Manuel Vazquez and Carlos Enrique Sibaja Palomino Moon were turned over to the Federal Public Ministry, which will determine their legal status.
