Tlajomulco de Zuniga, Jalisco (13/FEB/2012.) – In several raids in the state, by members of the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA) seized guns, drugs, vehicles and six men were taken to a federal prosecutor.
Soldiers of the Fifteenth Military Zone reported after undertaking patrols along Calle Real, in the village of Old Cross in Tlajomulco de Zuniga, where two people were caught with 12 kilos 600 grams of marijuana, being transported in a green Jeep Cherokee.
In a second operation, the military received an anonymous complaint because of the presence of armed men in the town of Valle Alto in the municipality of Santa Maria del Oro. Upon arrival, they found abandoned three rifles, five magazines, 176 bullets of various calibers and five kilos of marijuana.
In a third operation, in the town of Mezcala Ixtlahuacán in the municipality of Rio, a man was caught with 57 kilos of marijuana which he was transporting in a motor vehicle.
Finally, soldiers from the 79th Infantry Battalion, went to investigate a citizen’s report, that stated the presence of armed persons, on a farm in Ocampo Street in the town of Ajijic, they managed to arrest four men who were in possession of 120 grams of marijuana, 12 magazines for different weapons, 181 bullets of different calibers, a van with license plates JCS-6028, and five cell phones that were used for illegal activities.
