Police seized drugs from Colombia, a ton of cocaine that was transported across a road northwest of the country and was bound for Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel, headed by Joaquin El Chapo Guzman, sources officers in the South American country’s capital.

The contraband was hidden in a truck van that had picked up somewhere in the middle basin of the Magdalena River and moved to Medellin, said in a statement the Drug (Diran) of the National Police.

The source said that the drug, valued at $ 35 million, was packed in 866 packages were introduced in a “double bottom wall” of the truck, whose driver was arrested.

The cocaine belonged to the Office of Envigado, armed drug trafficking organization based in the town of the same name, as established by Diran.

The band of Envigado, a town near Medellin, was to head to Erickson Vargas, Sebastian , who was captured last Wednesday during a police assault on a village near this city.
