They believe in this country that the Sinaloa cartel tries to over take Spains’ Colombian bands, without the need for alliances
MADRID, The Sinaloa cartel tries to over take the Colombian organizations drug trafficking routes in Europe through Spain, without having to make an alliance, considered the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
He recalled that last July a shipment seized in the southern Spanish coast Nikolai merchant ship, with 373 kilograms of cocaine and the arrest in London of four links of the Sinaloa cartel.
He said that since 2007, its data have attempted activity in Spain, through Portugal, with the shipment of cocaine in small port charges, and among those arrested Jesus Gutierrez Guzman, cousin of the head of the cartel, Joaquin El Chapo Guzman.
“He came in March 2011 in Madrid and was under close surveillance when the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reported that he and his entourage had landed in Spain,” he said.
He noted that currently there is no known alliances that can do the Sinaloa cartel in Spain, since the Colombian groups still control the Atlantic routes, using Galician groups.
After the operation last July, Spanish police officers were deployed to the United States to exchange information on the Mexican cartel, and analyze how they try to settle in Spain.
He explained that the question is still a threat of Mexican cartels in Spain, “but the fact that the conquest of territories and markets and other suppliers could result in a war.”
