The Federal Public Ministry in Tamaulipas appropriated to the First District Judge in Federal Criminal Proceedings in the state, a man after military personnel assured him more than eight tons of marijuana.
The local office of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) reports that the investigation stems from the delivery of the accused and a tractor, by the Federal Public Service, with its respective box and 800 packages of marijuana, with a total weight of 8.2 tons.
The federal corporation, whose headquarters is located in Reynosa mentions that this confiscation is the result of a review by military elements in a checkpoint located at kilometer 30 of the federal highway Monterrey-Reynosa.
The defendant, the vehicle and the drugs were turned over to the Social Representative of the Federation, who joined the preliminary AP/PGR/TAMPS/REY-COE/4315/2012 and exercised appropriate criminal action.
He noted that the offender was transferred to the Federal Center for Social Rehabilitation number 3, of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, which became available to the relevant judicial authority for his alleged responsibility for crimes against health in the form of transport.
