The Jiuvy arrested, head of square Reds in Guerrero

The federal SSP reported that the arrest of the alleged leader of kidnappers occurred as part of the actions taken in an operation

Federal Police detained in the state of Guerrero Roberto Pedraza Jose Molina, nicknamed “The Jiuvy” was linked to the crimes of illegal kidnapping and extortion in the service of the criminal group “The Reds”.

The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) reported that federal arrest suspected leader of kidnappers occurred as part of the activities carried out within the operating Guerrero Seguro.

The investigation indicated that Pedraza Molina also served as chief of space “Reds” in the town of Ocotito, in Chilpancingo, Guerrero, where he allegedly headed the drug distribution and coordination of kidnappings and killings against members antagonistic groups.

During the operation, said a Hummer H2, 2006 model, gray MMF3807 license plates, the State of Mexico, an assault rifle AK-47, a charger supplied with 20 rounds of ammunition, a plastic bag with marijuana, plus two telephone equipment.

An indictment released Monday by the Federal Attorney‘s Office lists 20 people identified as responsible for retail purchase weapons in a band led by Jimmy H. Torres, 27 years old.

A group of ten accused of weapons trafficking were brought before a federal judge in San Antonio to be indicted and they all pleaded not guilty to the charges against them, according to the information.

The indictment on 33 counts, providing miss-information in filling out federal forms to buy guns, to guarantee that the same rifles they acquired for themselves, when in fact they bought for the Mexican cartel.

Authorities said the weapons purchased at various gun shops in San Antonio, were given to Torres, and designated as the leader of the band that provided automatic rifles to Los Zetas across the border from Eagle Pass, in southern Texas.

The indictment describes Torres as a suspect of serving as a “facilitator” for the cartel, whose members easily violate U.S. law prohibiting arms purchases by foreigners or persons accused of crimes of possession of weapons.

The authorities explained that facilitators are usually ordered to recruit retail buyers, who come to be generally Americans without criminal records, to enable them to buy weapons with ease.

The group of ten would have acquired at least 33 automatic rifles for the Los Zetas between December and January from the armories in San Antonio.

Some of the weapons were purchased on the same day; with Torres accompany buyers to the stores.

Torres paid each buyer paid $ 300 for each weapon purchased and asked that they buy mainly assault rifles like the AK-47.

Torres, who is in U.S. illegally after expiration of his border crossing card in 2010, is charged with acquiring weapons even if they can do as a foreigner and a history of domestic violence offenses.

They are also accused Ramon Ernesto Armijo, Mathew Arteaga, Destiny Delafuente, Robert Alcaraz, Lisa Fields, Alexis Marie Garcia, Christopher Garcia, Krystle Marie Garcia and Tommy Guerrero.

Along with him were captured: Jaime Escobedo Andres Lara, aka “The Twin”, 30, Juan Antonio Torres Hernandez, aka “Pants” or “Tanga”, Jesus Antonio Lona Veliz, 19 and the lowest Jose Angel, alias ” El Charro “, 14.

They were arrested by elements of the State Agency for Research on the 185 kilometer road to Colombia in the said municipality.

His arrest was achieved when detected suspicious of “Pants” or “Tanga”, who was in a chapel of the Santa Muerte and, apparently, with his cell phone reported the movements of the authorities.

After an arrest for investigation, were captured from the other band members.

An operation was carried out on the road leading from Veracruz Soledad Bending, up to the Santa Rita village, led to the arrest of Ivan Jair Dionisio Mendez, alias “El Chombo“, 19-year-old Jose Juan Dominguez Martinez, alias ” The Juanjo “, 21, Bogar Pastrana Omar Hernandez, aka” Bogar “, 23, and Alexis Rodriguez Arseta, aka” The Alexis “, 20.

After a preliminary investigation all detainees and confiscated weapons were turned over to federal prosecutors.

Those arrested as part of “Operation Safe Guerrero on Saturday May 5, corresponded to the names of Jesus Ricardo Tapia Lopez de Sinaloa El Chuy , 30, Hector Reynoso Carlos Mercado El Muerto , 49, Esteban Jaimes Hernandez El Pelon , 30; Mari Paz Cervantes Sandoval La Guera , 34, Angel Macias Ruiz The Chava , 27, Jose Alberto Hernandez Campos Beto , 28, Ramiro Palacios Astudillo ‘s Candy , 48 years old.

Also arrested were Griselda Perez Rodriguez The Gray , 20, Juan Jose Campos Hernandez, 24, Joshua Ojendis Alarcón The Breast of 20, Victor Aviles Daniel Viviano The Fool of 21, Francisco Javier Ramírez Moreno ‘s Barbecue , 35 and Oscar Emilio El Pelon , a minor.

These people and two vehicles, two AK47 rifles, a shotgun, two pistols, 72 cartridges of various calibers, 155 bags of marijuana, 40 bags of cocaine and 14 communication devices of different brands, models and companies, were seized together with the detainees were presented to the appropriate authority.

(Photo: EMILIO VASQUEZ El Universal)In two operations against organized crime, five gunmen were killed, one was identified as the alleged leader of the square in the town of Cerralvo, in Nuevo Leon.

Staff of the Seventh Military Zone reported that at 10:15 a group of soldiers fought against armed men on the road to Dam Nogalitos the rural municipality of Cerralvo, killing three people.

According to the report, one of those killed in the shootout is the head of this square, which was only identified by his nickname of El Pato.

The alleged Zetas were manning a van reported as stolen, and seeing the military approaching them they fired shots. But, the action was repelled by the military when they returned fire.

Resulting from this confrontation the military was able to confiscate two rifles: R-15 and an AK-47, a square 9 mm pistol and several cartridges.

Expert Services personnel attended the scene for evidence gathering and removal of the bodies.

In other action against organized crime, state police detectives “busted” a safe house in the town of Juarez. According to initial reports, two suspected kidnappers were killed and nine arrested.

The operation was due to an anonymous tip which warned of armed men in the colony Plains of San Juan.

Exploding grenade

Gunmen exploded a grenade about 100 meters from the town hall of Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon. Shrapnel destroyed the windows of an elementary school and two homes, and windscreens of two trucks.

The incident occurred around 9:00 am on Hidalgo Street at its junction with Mier y Noriega and Zaragoza in the center of town.

The acting mayor of Guadalupe Rodriguez Carlos Padilla said his administration will support those affected by the explosion of the grenade attack by suspected members of organized crime.

Troops of the State Investigation Agency (IEA), the local Police and Civil Protection of the State went to the site of the attack and according to preliminary investigations, the device was thrown at a home located at the intersection of Hidalgo and Zaragoza about 100 meters from City Hall

ZACATECAS, The state government reported the deaths of three alleged gunmen following a confrontation with the military, during a chase that began in Ojuelos, Jalisco, and ended in the town of Pinos, Zacatecas, to free three hostages.

In a press release, it was reported that the Expert Services of the Attorney General of the State of Zacatecas (PGJEZ) ‘up bodies of three suspected members of organized crime, who were killed in the town of Pinos by elements of the Mexican Army ‘.

It was also announced that two weapons were secured AK-47, an R-15, a fragmentation grenade, various chargers, a car and a Jeep Yukon.

He said the confrontation arose when the military elements of the Fifteenth Military Zone, based in Jalisco, chased a group of armed men in the town of Ojuelos of that entity.
